ang cmos batt ay pang maintain lang ng power para hindi mag reset ang custom settings ng bios, removing cmos batt will only reset the memory chip of the bios to factory defaults, so with or without cmos batt, the board should work ang cons lang is you have to set date and time everytime magboboot kanag research po ako mga paps and madami talagang issues na na solve by replacing cmos even yung mga considered as dead motherboards
ganito rin po ginawa ko sa PC ko, bigla nalang ayaw magboot tapos nagbiblink red lang yung sa power indicator, so nag search ako sa web, napanood ko yung tips sa youtube, triny ko tanggalin at boom, bumukas nang muli, kaso may error every boot, baka nga rin pa deadbatt na to, try ko nlng maghanap ng pamalit ng cmos battterySo, keep this in mind with a computer older
than a year. Usually a dead BIOS battery will
not cause this to happen and the common
effects of it is date/time always being reset,
but causing a computer to not boot at all is
very possible with a dead CR2032 battery. -google
cr2032 din gamit ko mga paps and marami ding nag agree even technicians weird nga eh hahaha
