In politics, criticism creates a good output only when it comes from independent watchdogs, an active civil society, and the public holding leaders accountable. When criticism is used purely as a weapon between rival political factions, it results in political instability rather than better governance.

I don't mind who the leader is, as long as there is real good governance and fair policies - not just sweet-coated speeches, but actual good deeds.

Please note that I am from Northern Mindanao. For generations, numerous Presidents came and went, yet Mindanao was always left behind. When Duterte - who is actually from Mindanao - became President, people expected him to favor his home region. But did he deprioritize Mindanao? The answer is no. He simply practiced fair policy. Even with more support sent to the south, Luzon still remains far more developed than Mindanao. What might look like a small development to outsiders was a massive, historic milestone for us.

My points were never about this candidate is better than the Dutertes, but you've always pointed out that you trust them, and even said before that Sara is pure, isn't that weaponizing their so-called greatness, without otherwise calling out their nad deeds?

And as for Mindanao, yes, it's fair to assume that the South has been given less attention, but has it ever crossed your mind that the government isn't the only thing that's making Luzon and parts of Visayas as advanced as it is now? Luzon has tourists spots, Baguio City, Tagaytay, and Vigan City to name a few. Alongside this, it also contains NCR and CALABARZON, both attracting to investors. Proximity wise, Luzon and Visayas are closer to more foreign countries that we trade with than Mindanao. It's true that we should support equity in development, but there are things that we can't control, especially when considering economic factors.

Mindanao has great potential, especially on the agricultural sector, but the fact that it's hard to reach contributes to the lack of support it receives. The government can provide support for Mindanao, and they should put more support for its development, but it's also illogical to assume that it's deprioritized just because it's given less attention. Luzon remains to be much more developed because of various factors, even those dating back to hundreds of years ago. Mindanao has potential, it's the second largest. But if we look at the output, let's use as an example, CALABARZON, a region in Luzon 6 times smaller than Mindanao, produces just about 3% less GDP-wise than the entirety of Mindanao.

How do you justify it being one-sided, if I may ask? Because I don't discuss other politicians in a discussion about Duterte? If I say that the abuses during the Marcos dictatorship was bad, would you also consider that as an unhelpful critique?

Of course not, but the only reason why you only see Duterte related criticism is because THIS THREAD IS ABOUT DUTERTE. I've brought up various politicians here that isn't a Duterte, hell I've even brought Hilt3r up at one point, but they trace back to Duterte. Why? Because this discussion IS ABOUT DUTERTE. And it's honestly amusing that he refuses to post criticism against anti-Duterte politicians, but would name call any individual who's anti-Duterte. Ilang beses ko nang sinabi na huwag maghahanap ng criticism towards people unrelated sa isang diskusyon na malinaw na para sa mga Duterte, but that has remained to be their main issue for weeks. Parang naghahanap ng M&M sa pack ng skittles, tapos magrereklamo kung wala. :w

One thing lang talaga na nakikita ko sa mga panatiko that stands out is hindi kaya nilang i-call out ang kanilang idol politicitian once na may mali siyang nagawa or hindi tama, as if they easily like to give their consent even if it is wrong as long as it is in their favor.

Meawii, he is the same as the other typical DDS that we encountered before.
