Hello! It sounds like your SATA SSD is not being recognized as a storage device but rather as a SATA controller. This issue can occur due to various reasons such as hardware failure, driver issues, or incorrect BIOS settings.

Here are some steps you can try to troubleshoot and potentially fix the issue with your SATA SSD:

1. Check SATA Cable and Power Connection: Ensure that the SATA data cable and power cable connecting your SSD to the motherboard and power supply are properly seated and not loose. Try using different cables to rule out any cable-related issues.

2. Update SATA Controller Driver: If your motherboard has a separate SATA controller driver, make sure it is up to date. You can download the latest driver from the manufacturer's website and install it.

3. Check BIOS Settings: Enter your computer's BIOS/UEFI settings and verify that the SATA mode is set correctly (usually AHCI or RAID for SSDs). Incorrect settings can cause detection issues. You may also want to check if the SSD is recognized in the BIOS.

4. Test the SSD on Another Computer: To rule out any issues with your current system, try connecting the SSD to another computer and see if it is detected properly. This can help determine if the issue lies with the SSD itself or your system.

5. Check for Firmware Updates: If possible, check if there are any firmware updates available for your SSD. Updating the firmware can sometimes resolve compatibility issues and improve performance.

6. Data Recovery and Replacement: If none of the above steps work and you have important data on the SSD, you may need to consider data recovery services. If the SSD is under warranty, you could also contact the manufacturer for a possible replacement.

If you are still unable to fix the issue, it's recommended to seek assistance from a professional technician or the SSD manufacturer's support team for further troubleshooting and guidance.
