Typhoon Carina Update
The typhoon has maximum sustained winds of 150 kph and gustiness up to 250 kph, moving northward at 20 kph. The "habagat" will cause moderate to intense rainfall over western Luzon until Saturday and strong gusts in several regions until Friday. A gale warning is in effect for the coastal waters of northern Luzon. PAGASA advises caution in sea travel for small seacraft.

Ban Daw Ang Pogo Pero May Humirit?
The Philippine Amusement and Gaming Corporation (PAGCOR) has requested that 12 Philippine Offshore Gaming Operator (POGO) companies be spared from the nationwide ban. During his third State of the Nation Address on Monday, President Ferdinand Marcos Jr. said he is banning all POGOs in the country by the end of the year. PAGCOR made the appeal since 12 of the 43 POGO companies in the country are merely customer service agents for gaming companies. Tourist Dead After Participating In "JUMPING BALLOON" ACCIDENT.
WATCH: A 43-year-old woman, Catherine Paypa Egam from Cagayan de Oro City, died on July 19 after a water sport accident in a resort in Sitio Basdako, Barangay San Vicente, Olango Island, Lapu-Lapu City. Egam was participating in a jumping balloon activity on July 11 when a staff member jumped on the opposite end, causing her to bounce. She landed awkwardly, hitting her head, and fell into the seawater unconscious. The staff quickly rescued her and called an ambulance. She was taken to Sta.
