Uniteam no more? House squabble puts spotlight on 2025, 2028 elections
Two obliterated political parties in the House of Representatives may not be part of the inner circle, but they are closely watching developments unfold after the chamber’s leadership stripped former president Gloria Macapagal Arroyo of her senior deputy speakership title. They believe her demotion, and the subsequent exit of Vice President Sara Duterte from her political party Lakas-CMD, suggest that the fragile alliance that comprises the incumbent administration (called “Uniteam”) is not having a kumbaya moment. They even suspect that it’s a sign some politicians are positioning themselves early for 2025 and 2028.

Despite medal limit, Carlos Yulo to earn nearly P800,000 after stellar SEA Games run
MANILA, Philippines – Nearly P800,000 in cash incentives await Carlos Yulo following another impressive campaign in the Southeast Asian Games. The gymnastics star ended the SEA Games as arguably the Philippines’ best performing athlete despite a medal cap imposed by host Cambodia as he captured two golds and two silvers – a haul that will net him P787,500. Unlike the past SEA Games where he emerged as the most bemedalled Filipino athlete with five golds and two silvers, Yulo was allowed to contend for only two apparatus medals in this edition. But that limit did not prevent Yulo from stamping his class as he struck golds in men’s individual all-around and parallel bars and bagged a pair of silvers in rings and team all-around.

No proof US landed on moon Ex-Russian space boss
The former head of Russia’s Roscosmos space agency, Dmitry Rogozin, has E×ρréššed doubt that the US Apollo 11 mission really landed on the Moon in 1969, saying he has yet to see conclusive proof. In a post on his Telegram channel on Sunday, Rogozin said he began his personal quest for the truth “about ten years ago” when he was still working in the Russian government, and that he grew skeptical about whether the Americans had actually set foot on the Moon when he compared how exhausted Soviet cosmonauts looked upon returning from their flights, and how seemingly unaffected the Apollo 11 crew was by contrast. Rivian R1T Owner Gets $115 Commercial Vehicle Parking Ticket In NYC
The owner of a Rivian R1T got a $115 parking ticket in New York City because he violated NYC's special parking rules for commercial vehicles. Because it weighs more than 7,000 pounds, the Rivian R1T is automatically classified as a commercial vehicle in New York state and therefore has to feature commercial plates and submit to CV regulations. This particular owner's R1T appears to have the plates, but apparently that's not enough to dodge a parking ticket in NYC if you drive a Rivian R1T. As the owner says in a short video, he got fined because his electric truck did not have lettering and signs on the outside as the law requires. Under NYC traffic rules – section 4-08 (K) Special rules for commercial vehicles – "parking of...
