Good afternoon mga kaphcorner, I want to share this very important article I've read from Miui Forum. Xiaomi phone user kasi ako kaya active ako dito. Alam ko very helpful din to sa mga may smartphones dyan. Enjoy and learn.

The smartphone is one of the most important necessities for most users nowadays. Before falling in sleep, using smartphones in bed is a common frame shown in most bedrooms.

Are you too much addicted to the smartphone? Have you ever snuggled in bed playing your mobile phone at night? Chances are that the dazzling blue light does much harm to the body as well as the possibility of being hit by a phone. Today, Mi Bunny Tips is sharing a few tips to protect your eyes from smartphone screen at night.

1. Dimming the display:

Bright screen makes your eyes tired quickly. When using the smartphone at night, dimming the display can protect your eyes from getting harmed. You can easily do this from the Notification Bar of your phone. In MIUI, you will find the option by pulling down the notification bar.

You may also turn on the Automatic Brightness to adjust the brightness in accordance with circumstance.

2. Turning on Reading Mode:

While working on the smartphone at night turning on the Reading mode to reduce the screen luminance will help a lot. You will find it under the settings. In MIUI the reading mode is inbuilt which keeps your eyes miles away from strain even when you read for hours whether it's reading news in your favourite app in morning or your favorite novel ebook before bed at night. To turn on the reading mode, you need to go to Settings >> Display >> Reading Mode
You can also set the schedule for the reading mode.

3. Lying flat while reading:

Lying on one side gives the highest pressure to your eyes and causes vision deviation between left and right, while lying prostrate affects blood circulation in elbows and brain and make it hard to fall in sleep. Lying flat is the best way to comfort each part of your body except arms. You can use quilts or pillows to help your elbows, or release your arm and hold your device.

4. Turning on a light:

There is a high contrast between dark environment and bright screen, which will make eyes tired. Under the situation, eye specialists indicated that spasm of accommodation, a short-time blurred vision, may occur. So, it is better to turn on a light when using the smartphone at night.

5. Following some miscellaneous rules:

There is something that people who use the smartphone for a long time should be aware of. First of all, keep the distance between eyes and smartphone from 10 to 15 inches. Secondly, do not continue to use smartphone longer than a half hour. Thirdly, when feeling tired, close your eyes or look into the distance.

Fellow Mi Fans, what should still need to be reminded is that using smartphone a lot before sleeping may cause blindness. So, why not just say good night to your family and fall in sleep for tomorrow? Wishing you good health.

Worth to read.
Actually mine is
- I'm using Computer/Blue Light Blocking Eyeglasses.
- Always lowest brightness/contrast
- Sometimes turn on blue light filter.
- Taking eye vitamin/supplements (lutein)
- Keep the distance from my head and chest (bonus for me since I'm far sighted)

Using both PC and smartphone more than average user. Since I'm a gamer and graphic designer I need to protect my eyes.
