Installing from APK

1. Visit the GitHub Releases page and download the latest APK.
2. Move the APK to your Android device.
3. Go to Settings → Security/Privacy.
4. Enable Unknown sources or allow installation from the source you're using.
5. Android 15+ users: If Play Protect blocks the APK, temporarily disable Scan apps with Play Protect:
   Google Play Store → Profile → Play Protect → Settings
6. Re-enable Play Protect immediately after installation.
7. Open your file manager and locate the APK.
8. Tap the APK and follow the on-screen installation instructions.
9. Complete the SMSGate setup and configure the cloud connection.

Android App Configuration

Go to Settings → Cloud Server

Battery Optimization
Go to Settings → Battery Optimization

• Select No restrictions for the SMSGate app.

Important: Setting Battery Optimization to No restrictions helps prevent Android from stopping or restricting the SMSGate background service. This is recommended for reliable SMS receiving, queue synchronization, and message dispatch.

Recommended Configuration

• Battery Optimization: No restrictions
• Cloud Server: Connected
• Keep the Android device connected to a stable network and charger when processing large SMS campaigns.
