Before disassembling a desk, shelf, bed frame, or other furniture, photograph it from several angles.
Take additional close-ups showing brackets, hardware orientation, hole positions, and which side of each piece faces outward.
Continue taking photos as layers are removed.
When it's time to rebuild it, your phone becomes a personalized assembly guide based on how the furniture actually looked before you touched it.
