Small stains can become surprisingly difficult to find once a garment is unfolded under different lighting.
Before taking suitable clothing for professional cleaning, loosely mark the location using a removable method such as attaching a safety pin nearby—without piercing delicate fabric—or simply point out and describe the exact location when dropping it off.
Also tell the cleaner what caused the stain if you know.
Knowing both where the stain is and what created it can help determine an appropriate treatment.
