Ayon kay Defense spokesperson Atty. Michael Poa, hindi nila kailanman napag-usapan ni Vice President Sara Duterte ang posibilidad na magbitiw ito sa pwesto.
Itinanggi rin ni Poa na may kinalaman ang defense team sa hiling ng Office of the Vice President na sagutin ng Senado ang pagkain ng kanilang kampo.
