THIS IS SO WRONG ON SO MANY LEVELS

The Philippine National Police (PNP) must recalibrate and try their best to do a nuanced analysis of their communication strategy because the reminder below sends a troubling and misguided message.

While I agree that there are pre-existing realities on the ground that must minimized, if not completely avoided. The logic behind shifting the burden of preventing crime onto potential victims instead of holding perpetrators accountable implies that safety is solely the responsibility of individuals, not the society or systems designed to protect them.

Criminals should be the ones doing the adjustments. Dapat sila yong takot for not doing what is right. But, by urging the innocents to adjust their behavior to avoid criminals— perpetuates the dangerous notion that crimes like rape can be "prevented" by victims' actions.

This is not only flawed but also harmful.

Efforts to combat crime should prioritize stronger law enforcement, community vigilance, and education aimed at stopping criminals. Reminders like these fail to address the root cause of the issue: the existence of individuals who commit such heinous acts.

This is maybe because the PNP is led by an incompetent chief who believes that drug use is good for the economy as it allows people to do overtime work. Lol

Safety should not come at the cost of our freedom.Let’s focus on building a society where criminals, not victims, are the ones forced to adjust.

i don't think lahat ng tao ay marunong mag avoid being rape, kasi kung ako if kaya ko lang makipag patayan sa mga criminal then i don't need police assistance at all, kaya nga we pick selected people from society to be trained na makipag patayan sa masasamang elemento, kasi kung ganoon naman pala ang direction ng utak ng leaders natin edi mag train na tayong lahat at maging police na tayong lahat
