Luffy made a cameo in DBZ before One Piece was even released :D A Chinese net user uploaded a panel from what’s supposedly an oldDragon Ball manga. In it, you can see the back of a straw hat (kinda like Luffy’s) and a skinny character in a tank top (kinda like Luffy). This seems to be the only place that this character pops up. Here’s the catch: the original Dragon Ball, where this was apparently discovered, ran until 1995. One Piece didn’t start until 1997. So did this panel influence Oda? Not sure. Maybe. Or maybe it’s just a coincidence.

Nami has Haki – Myth & Fact Myth: Nami can hurt Luffy, she must have Busōshoku Haki. Fact: Despite being one of the weakest members of the Straw Hats in overall physical strength (the other being Usopp), she still manages to hurt Luffy, who is made of rubber and should be unharmed by physical attacks. Or maybe, Dragon ate a Devil Fruit that allows him to manipulate the weather. Why do you think a lightning bolt saved Luffy from being killed by Buggy? This past weekend, the staff of Fairy Tail held a fan event called the Dragon King Festival. Named after an event in the manga, this gathering included fan merchandise, guest appearances by voice actors and series creator Hiro Mashima himself, and a few very exciting announcements for Fairy Tail fans. Luffy always thinks about meat Luffy’s personality is like that of a child’s, in the sense that he tends to go to the extremes. He can either be extremely greedy, especially in cases of food, who his crew is, and adventure; or extraordinarily selfless, going so far as to virtually sacrifice himself to avenge or protect his friends, crew, and family. This childish mentality of his allows him to get to the root of the problem, and allows him to figure out the most simple way of solving it.

How Zeff really lost his leg… D: When I watched the One Piece anime, at the same part of Volume 7, Chapter 57, “Dreams Have a Reason” it says the reason Zeff lost his leg got torn off in the shipwreck… did they change that in consideration of the young children watching the show? O: Yes. Hearing “eat your own leg” in that episode would be too much of a shock for young children. When you consider that a medium such as television has tens of millions of viewers, to neglect such a consideration would be a terrible mistake. CHAPTER 801 REVIEW I have to say this chapter has got to be the best since I begun reading the manga from Punk Hazard. So much happened its just amazing. We get a sort of final closure to the situation in Dressrosa. The citizens are happy, the dwarves are introduced to the citizens, we see construction of Lucy, Kyros and God Usopp (lol) statues and right as we leave Dressrosa the country is referred to in the same way as it was in the beginning, a country of love and passion. Everything else about this chapter was hype. We see Lucci and maybe Spandam in Dressrosa, and if the translation is correct, they are both part of CP Aegis 0. Anyone who’s seen the works of Michelangelo or visited Mount Rushmore knows that rock can be sculpted to look like anything or anyone. But this was done by nature.
