Bangko Sentral ng Pilipinas (BSP) Governor Benjamin Diokno shares how the new polymer P1,000 banknote would look like. It was designed by BSP and its issuance has been approved by the Monetary Board and the Office of the President. Diokno adds new series will focus on fauna and flora in the Philippines as well as those with positive Filipino images like tamaraw, sampaguita, etc. instead of heroes. Bongbong Marcos tests negative for drugs
PRESIDENTIAL aspirant and former senator Ferdinand "Bongbong" Marcos has tested negative for drugs. Marcos himself revealed this to The Manila Times on Tuesday after he was tested in a hospital in Metro Manila on Monday. Marcos said he gave a copy of the results to the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA). Only 1 area in Metro Manila under lockdown
MANILA, Philippines — Only one area in Metro Manila is under granular lockdown due to COVID-19, the Philippine National Police (PNP) reported yesterday. In its latest report, the PNP said a residential building in Quezon City has been locked down. The figure is lower by 96.96 percent compared to 33 areas under lockdown on Nov. 10. The building, which has about 22 residents, is being secured by four police officers and four force multipliers. There are about 42 areas under granular lockdown nationwide, affecting around 48 families or 136 individuals.
