Google Is About To Turn On Two-Factor Authentication By Default For Millions of Users
Google is reminding us that it will enable two-factor authentication for 150 million more accounts by the end of this year. The Verge reports: In 2018, Google said that only 10 percent of its active accounts were using two-factor authentication. It has been pushing, prodding, and encouraging people to enable the setting ever since. Another prong of the effort will require more than 2 million YouTube creators to turn on two-factor authentication to protect their channels from takeover. Google says it has partnered with organizations to give away more than 10,000 hardware security keys every year. Facebook's fact-checker Rappler shut down its online pool after netizens discovered its cheating
According to a FACEBOOK poll conducted by Rappler, a US-funded anti-Marcos news website, Ferdinand Marcos, Jr. received 54% of the vote, while Leni Robredo received 42%. The poll was supposed to run for three days, from October 7 to October 9. However, it was abruptly shut down on the second day, when a Marcos victory was clearly irreversible. According to the Manila Bulletin poll, Marcos won by a landslide, receiving 72 percent of the vote to Robredo's 24 percent. Francisco "Isko Moreno" Domagoso came in third place with only 2% of the vote. Senators Ronald "Bato" Dela Rosa, Emmanuel "Manny" Pacquiao, and Panfilo "Ping" Lacson all received less than one percent of the vote.

Philippines FDA OKs tocilizumab made by China firm Lizvon
The Food and Drug Administration (FDA) has approved for use in the Philippines the tocilizumab manufactured by Chinese firm Lizvon, FDA director general Eric Domingo said on Monday. In President Rodrigo Duterte's Talk to the People, Domingo said he was hoping that there will be more supplies of the in-demand medicine for severe COVID-19 patients.
