Then place the appropriate theme files according to your Windows Version into your Windows/Resources/Themes folder(You can check which version of Windows you are running by pressing Windows+R and typing 'winver' in the run dialog.)
The most common versions are 1703-1909!
Right click anywhere on the desktop, select Personalize then go down to Themes and find the Visual Style you wish to apply.
If you get the bottom task pane after applying the theme, Press Alt+Shift+P to hide it.
Windows 10 loads default theme colors from
[HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Themes\DefaultColors]
after every lock/sleep/hibernate/crash.
Make a backup of that key, take ownership of it, and then delete that whole key (defualtcolors).
