- my simple answer is democracy. this is the type of government meron ang pinas. democracy in simple definition is every pinoy have a say on politics. you can vote, you can run or you can protest. So, with this, let me ask: Is it really that 'un-nationalistic' to point out others' mistakes? The world is not black or white, nor dilawan or DDS. Just because you criticize this administration's mistakes doesn't mean you totally support the opposing sides.
You are right regarding democracy. Which is why I am asking why others look down on people who criticize and point out others' mistakes. Hindi 'un-nationalistic' ang pag-criticize sa government. Hindi nga ito considered sedition under the Revised Penal Code so I don't see why others keep throwing names like 'dilawan', traydor, etc. around social media. It seems like some people need to go back and read the law before they can go tell off others for being 'un-nationalistic' or proclaim themselves as the only 'true patriots' just because they took a side they think is right.- my simple answer is democracy. this is the type of government meron ang pinas. democracy in simple definition is every pinoy have a say on politics. you can vote, you can run or you can protest.
- again democracy. people can speak of their opinions even if it right or wrong. kahit yun definition ng 'un-nationalistic' is different because again government allows the people to define it on their own way. why? democracy. You are right regarding democracy. Yes, I agree that each of us is entitled to his/her own opinion. But have you heard of the phrase 'Your liberty to swing your fist ends just where my nose begins' or something similar? Democracy is not being free to insult others from the opposition. Democracy is not bullying others because they have a different opinion. Democracy is not being free to speak ill of others. Exercising freedom of speech does not mean you are exempt from the laws of the land, and there are laws that protect people from those who misuse their freedom.- again democracy. people can speak of their opinions even if it right or wrong. kahit yun definition ng 'un-nationalistic' is different because again government allows the people to define it on their own way. why? democracy.
- i will give you one example. i am an expat here in uae. do you know there are lot's of bad decisions of the government and corruption is always everywhere? do i have a say on it? can i criticize the government here? do even locals have the right to criticize their own government? no because there is no democracy here in their government. the government decides on everything. period.

Take for example some of the people here. You can see threads daily, either calling others 'dilawan' or 'dutertards'. Do you think that that is the right way to exercise democracy? Bullying? Derogatory terms? Insults? I think not. That's not even considered debate. That's not what you call democracy.
Democracy does not give you the excuse nor the freedom to bully or insult your fellow countrymen because they differ in opinion with yours.
Did you not know that 'dilawan' is a derogatory term? 'Dilawan', 'dutertards', etc, all are derogatory and is somewhat rude and insulting, along with cuss words. If people want a formal debate, present your side and along with it your proof. But never insult others. That is not a debate. Both sides are in the wrong here, for resorting to name-calling instead of having a constructive, useful and lively debate. At yung mga Palamura dito sa Phc ay lahat Dilawan, si fabbriche nagmura kaninang umaga, ayun na Bann
- yes democracy has it's limit and has to be proper. but again and again "democracy" is not defined to all as like that. you cannot tell somebody to shut up and put his/her democracy on a proper order because democracy is defined differently to everyone. iba iba paniniwala ng mga tao my friend.Democracy does not give you the excuse nor the freedom to bully or insult your fellow countrymen because they differ in opinion with yours.
- simple. your point is correct and idealistic. but again this is not what you wake up pag labas mo sa kanto ng bahay niyo. what my point is again wrong (by order and law) but again this is the reality.Democracy does not and will never depend on your perspective.
