LHC Part 1: Black Hole
Since the Large Hadron Collider (LHC) has been made located at CERN, their so many questions attached from it like: “will CERN can generate a black hole?” Or “LHC could make an Earth-killing black hole?” But first, let me introduce what is LHC and CERN.
The LARGE HADRON COLLIDER (LHC) is particle accelerator under development by CERN, the world’s largest organization devoted to particle physics. A particle accelerator, sometimes called an “atom smasher” by lay people, is a device that propels subatomic particles called hadron at high speeds. Machines such as the LHC make it possible to split particles into smaller and smaller components in the quest for the identification of so-called elementary particles, from which
all matter and energy might derive. The LHC is same with Relativistic Heavy Ion Collider (RHIC) the second highest-energy heavy-ion collider in the world.
The LHC, located at CERN headquarters, the European Organization for Nuclear Research that operates the largest particle physics laboratory in the world. Established in 1954, the organization is based in a northwest suburb of Geneva on the Franco – Swiss border and has 23 member states. Israel is the non-European country granted full membership. CERN is an official United Nationals Observer.
So, why the black hole relates to the two?
There was a viral thread on 4chan posted by someone who claimed to be one of the 23 scientists at CERN who is responsible for creating Mandela effect. They claimed the planet was destroyed(because some people felt something weird and different since 2012), sucked up by black hole they created, and we
were placed in a simulated world, that’s why the parallel universe is also attached from LHC.
The truth is CERN can’t generate a black hole, but LHC can make a black hole, here’s the reason:
1. “If these miniature black holes exist, the Earth has been getting hit by them for billions of years, and it’s still here.” These black holes, if they exist, would have been bombarding
Earth (and all the planets) for the entire history of our Solar System, as well as the Sun,
and there is absolutely no evidence that any body in our Solar System ever became a black
hole or got eaten by one.
2. “If you do create a miniature black hole, they will decay, via Hawking Radiation, on
ridiculously small timescales.” If there are extra dimensions, it is conceivable that they
could be of a specific type allowing the (again, very rare, but plausible) formation of a
microscopic black hole. Due to the laws of quantum mechanics, this black hole is going to decay by a process known as Hawking Radiation.
The world is safe. At least, from physics.
