Matagal ng game yan (year 2001) na cloned/modded/repacked from original CNC Origin games. Kaya lahat ng naglalabasang RA2+Yuri's Revenge packs ay kadalasan na portable non-Origin version (parang Steam at non-Steam as a comparison) - extract anywhere, then play offline or multiplayer on LAN. At dahil dyan, tama ka rin po na sabihing copypaste game yan sa isang working folder. Anyway, to play, click RA2.exe to run Red Alert2 or RA2MD.exe for the Yuri's Revenge RA2 expansion pack. If for some reason ay hindi gumana, try nyo yung game.exe or gamemd.exe. SALAMAT!

salamat sa very informative na reply, natry ko sir yung mga sinabi mo, in my case oo windows 10 ako binago ko compatibility mode tapos gumana naman po kaso yung buttons nya pag click may sounds na responsive pero yung layout di nagbabago kaya hirap mag save o mag quit any solutions po?
Iba-iba talaga yung responses using old softwares on newer OSes and/or hardware. Merong blackscreen, whitescreen, oversized game menu layout, freezing, atbp. Meron din working pero kapag nag-alt+tab ka at bumalik ay ayaw na at unresponsive or nawawala yung mga tabs sa menu.... Normally, yung compatibility mode ang importante pero kailangan pa ng katikot kung lumang version ng installer or modded pack ang gamit.
I-quote ko na lang yung nakaraan kong fresh simulation sa Win 7 sa isang forum on a similar case. Yung fixes ay for Win7 -10 kaya maaaring gumana sa iyo rin. Lagay ko na lang sa text at may url filtering dito sa phc. Gamit ko yung same game pack ni pareng PJ. Ang target ko kasi ay hi-resolution sa gameplay which partially worked kay yuri - sa ra2 ay ok lahat. Sanay ka naman sigurong mag-edit ng ra2md.ini atbp. I-try mo w/ or without compatibility mode, pati na rin yung setting desktop display properties to 16-bit. Pang 16-bit kasi yan.Pakiramdaman mo muna yung pagbabago sa graphic fix, hanggang i-test mo yung sumunod na ddwrapper fix...and so on kung balak mo yung hires. Back-up ka ng game files para sigurado. Ang last option nyo is to try this full pack kung alangan kayo sa mahabang proseso ng pag-install ng CS half-life mod.

Paalala ko lang bosing at sa iba, yung mga third party fixes ay walang kasiguruhan. Merong ok sa iba, pero sa inyo ay hindi. Kaya bawat system may have a different effect on any part of the game, most related din with hardware.
Though sa Win7 ay medyo mabait pa sa fixes si RA2/Yuri in general, sa Windows 8 -10 naman ay assorted yung reactions ng users. Bisitahin nyo ito at baka makakita kayo ng suitable fix para sa inyo.

Kung gusto nyo naman magkaroon ng dagdag na features (or may fix some issues kung sakali) ay gawin ninyo ito. Patungan ninyo ng CNCNet installer yang bare (untouched) pack ninyo and observe the results.

You can use an alternate installer sa RA2/Yuri pack aside from boss PJ: see attachment below (optional only) para dyan sa CNCNet.
Ang advantage nito ay new improved gui, +online play, custom settings, custom maps, .... at pwedeng mag-skirmish offline with ai. Wala nga lang "campaign". Kung mahina ang hardware ninyo ay set nyo sa default (1024x768) and everything will work fine. Screen and client resolution must be the same (check ra2md.ini/ra2.ini) para maiwasan yung problema sa unang andar. Sa aking experience, maganda kung parehas yung dalawa para synchronized yung screen and client display - but not required.
Try at your own risk po. Kung di ok sa fullscreen, switch to windowed mode na lang as last resort. Kapain nyo na lang sa display properties para buo yung screen!

Check nyo po yung fixes na nabanggit sa taas. Na-test ko na po sa lahat ng OS yan from XP-win10. Ok naman sa Win10 si Yuri pero may kaunting katikot. Pero mas safe kung default graphics ang gagamitin muna, especially in "windowed" mode, then test on higher resolution later. Third-party fixes po yung mga ginagamit kaya it depends on many factors based on your hardware and software (drivers).
