🤖 Android AndVM: run Android 10-17 ROMs in a VM on your phone

Found this app called AndVM. It runs a separate Android inside a VM on your phone, so you can try AOSP, LineageOS, PixelOS and other GSI-style ROMs without flashing your actual device.

What it does:

  • Android 10 to 17 images, even on an older phone
  • Snapshots: pause the VM and pick up right where you left off
  • Flash OTAs, Magisk root and patches through recovery
  • ADB over adb connect <IP>:<PORT>
  • Floating window mode
  • Per-VM device mapping (camera, mic, GPS, Wi-Fi, sensors, battery and more can each be real, virtual or off)
You need an ARM64 phone on Android 11 or higher. How well it runs depends on your hardware and the image.
