Description
Sports nutrition is the study and practice of nutrition and diet for maintaining and improving athletic performance. Nutrition is a very important part of sports training regiments, being used in strength sports such as weightlifting and bodybuilding etc. Specifically sports nutrition focuses on the type, as well as the quantity, of fluids and food taken by an athlete. It also deals with consuming nutrients, such as vitamins, minerals, carbohydrates, proteins, and fats. In sports nutrition getting serious about fitness is a positive, life-changing decision. Exercise boosts your energy levels because it sends oxygen and nutrients to your tissues and helps your heart and lungs to work more efficiently. Your mood will improved drastically because exercise also release endophins, and you'll feel more confident about how you look and what you can achieve.
Every sports person want to gain muscle, but gaining muscle may conjure up images of countless hours in the gym, but diet doesnot come to mind. Your body needs calories and nourishment to feed growing muscle mass and to adjust to varying amounts of activity. Before making sudden changes in your lifestyle, though, you may want to consult with a physician, personal trainer, and dietitian. Good athletes eat sufficeint amout of protein. Clearly the rule of thumb is that you need between 0.7 and 0.8 times your weight in grams of protein examples of proteins that the body needs are lean red meat like beef, pork, lamb, venison, bison salmon, lamb, eggs, chicken etc.
