Among the Isneg of Apayao, Say’am is described as a grand prestige feast.
Traditional clothing is worn during the celebration, while participants perform rituals, dances, songs, and literary-musical activities such as dandangay.
The event brings together several forms of cultural E×ρréššion rather than focusing on only one ceremony.
It demonstrates how clothing, music, dance, ritual, and oral traditions can become part of a single community celebration. The practice is included in the Philippine Intangible Cultural Heritage Inventory.
