Physical attraction isn't necessarily fixed during the first few seconds of meeting someone.
Research on relationship formation suggests that familiarity, personality, responsiveness, and interpersonal experiences can influence how attractive someone becomes to us.
A person who seems ordinary at first can become considerably more attractive as emotional connection develops.
The reverse can happen too.
Your first impression matters, but it isn't always your final one.
