
If wind-driven rain occasionally reaches a window sill, place a folded absorbent towel along the interior sill to catch small amounts of water while you address the source.
Replace or dry it promptly when saturated rather than leaving wet fabric against the surface.
This is only temporary—repeated water intrusion can indicate failed seals, drainage problems, or another issue that needs proper repair.
A towel can control a small mess; it shouldn't hide an ongoing leak.
