The Hawaiian goby is a tiny fish with an incredible ability. Using its mouth and fins like suction cups, it can climb steep waterfalls to reach safer streams. Some of these waterfalls are over 100 meters (328 feet) high. The climb protects the fish from predators that cannot follow.
Scientists consider it one of the most impressive climbing abilities in the animal kingdom. It proves that size doesn't always determine strength or determination.
