The schedule of the Senate impeachment court regarding the discussion of the articles of impeachment against Vice President Sara Duterte may change.
Senate impeachment court Atty. Regie Tongol explains that both sides may agree to hear the complaints through article-by-article presentation.
“We still don't know if the presiding officer will cancel tomorrow's hearing kung they agree today about that kind of sequence,” he said
This means that instead of the prosecution presenting all complaints before the defense presents the evidence, it could be possible for the defense to immediately respond or present a witness.
“Nakakuha na po yung impeachment court today ng manifestation of the House Prosecution Panel. They are agreeing to the presentation of the alternating presentation of the prosecution and the defense on an article-for-article basis,” Tongol said

However, Tongol clarified that they are still awaiting the formal response and manifestation from the respondent or the defense regarding that matter.
“However, as to the defense po, yung respondent, wala pa po tayong nare-receive na any formal manifestation regarding that matter,” he said
Tongol added that the presiding officer considers this strategy, which may be helpful for the Senator-judges to easily follow the full narrative of each article, preventing confusion or losing track of the timeline of the events.
“But as to the impeachment court, syempre parang gusto rin makita ng Senator Judges the whole picture sa per article,” he said

Despite the potential adjustments in the process of hearing, the court assures that the whole timeline of the trial won’t be affected.
