PROMO MECHANICS

Preliminaries

• UnionBank Credit and Debit Cardholders are entitled to receive 40% discount at Kuya J, subject to terms and conditions.

• All transactions must be made within the Promo Period to avail of the Promo.
• The Promo is open to all principal and supplementary UnionBank credit cardholders (“Cardholders”) whose cards have been issued by Union Bank of the Philippines or issued by any other banking or financial institution and later on acquired by or transferred to Union Bank of the Philippines (“UnionBank Credit Cards”), have available credit limit and who are not prohibited under applicable Gifts, Anti-Bribery and Corruptions laws, regulations, and policies from participating in and/or qualifying for this Promo.
• To avail of the Promo, the Cardholder must charge the total amount of purchase to his/her qualified UnionBank Credit or Debit Card.
• Only one (1) qualified UnionBank Credit or Debit Card may be used per single-receipt transaction, and only one (1) qualified Card may be accepted per Cardholder. Splitting of transaction is not allowed.
• Cardholders with mandatory and government-regulated discount have the option to choose which promo or discount to apply. In the purchase of goods and services subject to a promotional discount, the senior citizen can avail of the promotional discount or the discount provided under the Expanded Senior Citizens Act of 2010, whichever is higher.
• The Promo offer is inclusive of Value Added Tax (“VAT”) and subject to applicable service charges and local taxes unless otherwise specified by partner merchant.
• The Promo offer is not exchangeable for cash, credit, or other goods and services.

Other Disclosures

• Fraud, abuse, or any unauthorized action relating to the credit card transaction or the participation in the Promo may result in the disqualification of the Customer from the Promo, or suspension or cancellation of the Card privileges at UnionBank’s discretion. This shall be without prejudice to any legal action that may be taken by UnionBank.

• By availing the Promo offer, the Cardholder is responsible for providing his/her personal information and other information that may be required to the Merchant and agrees that such information shall be subject to the confidentiality, data privacy, and security terms of the Merchant. The general terms and conditions of the Merchant apply.
• In accordance with the Regulations on Financial Consumer Protection to Implement Republic Act No. 11765, otherwise known as the “Financial Products and Services Consumer Protection Act,” UnionBank will be responsible for the acts or omissions of its directors, officers, employees, or agents, in the performance of its obligations under this Agreement without prejudice to the right of UnionBank to hold its directors, officers, employees, or agents or otherwise ultimately liable in this case.
• Any amendment in the Terms and Conditions governing the Promo is subject to prior Department of Trade and Industry (DTI) approval.
• In case of dispute with respect to the Cardholder’s eligibility, coverage of dates, and fulfilment, UnionBank’s decision with the concurrence of DTI shall be considered final.
