WiFi Extender/Wireless

Kung gumagana ang WiFi Extender/Wireless Access Point mo sa ibang modem pero ayaw kumonek sa internet sa isang modem, posibleng may isa sa mga sumusunod na issues:

1. IP Conflict or DHCP Issue
Cause: Pareho silang nagbibigay ng IP (DHCP), kaya nagka-conflict.

Solution:

I-access mo ang settings ng extender/AP sa browser (usually via 192.168.1.1

Disable DHCP on the extender.

Or, set it to Bridge Mode or Access Point Mode (not Router/Repeater if not compatible).

2. Modem Security Settings (MAC Filtering or IP Binding)
Cause: May security feature ang modem na hindi nagpapapasok ng unknown devices.

Solution:

I-check ang modem settings (through browser: 192.168.1.1).

Disable MAC Filtering, or add the extender’s MAC address to the allowed list.

Turn off IP binding/static routing if enabled.

3. Incompatible WiFi Modes
Cause: The modem is on a specific band or mode (e.g., 5GHz only) not supported by the extender.

Solution:

Check if your modem is on 5GHz only — older extenders support 2.4GHz only.

Set modem to Mixed Mode (2.4GHz + 5GHz).

4. Wrong Password or Hidden SSID
Cause: Extender can't authenticate or detect SSID properly.

Solution:

Double check the password.

Ensure SSID broadcast is enabled.

Try manual setup instead of WPS (if used).

5. Firmware Issue or Compatibility
Cause: Outdated firmware or brand-specific compatibility.

Solution:

Check for firmware updates for the extender.

Try factory resetting the extender and setting it up again manually.
