Same Playbook by the Marcoses

Ferdinand Marcos Sr. issued an EO on Feb 24, 1966 removing VP Fernando Lopez from the National Security Council.

Years later, he declared Martial Law and abolished the OVP.

With the Office of the Vice President abolished and the constitutional successor VP Lopez gone, FM Sr was free to declare himself ruler of this country for over 2 decades.

Where he plundered public coffers.
And where our rights and freedoms were taken away from us.

History repeating itself is the Universe asking us if we have learned the lessons we were supposed to learn the first time.

Marcos Sr destroyed our country.

Are you willing to see, in your lifetime, another Marcos destroy our country after we had painstakingly rebuilt it from the ashes of Marcos Sr’s plunder and lust for power?

Are you willing to die bequeathing such a country to your children?

Those are the burning questions we must answer.

It’s ironic how you claim to understand governance yet miss the point. Duterte may have "respected" Leni, but sidelining her from NSC and Cabinet meetings shows otherwise. Attending only one meeting due to exclusionary tactics isn’t respect—it’s dismissal of her input.

Real leadership requires collaboration and inclusivity, qualities Duterte’s administration clearly lacked.

Let's admit Leni is not the sharpest tool in the shade boss...😔

haha you still keep twisting and confusing cabinet and NSC, again wag ka magkalat ng twisted information dito sa forum, NSC is not cabinet and cabinet is not NSC

For cabinet: VP is not a default member of the cabinet but the president has power to add the VP
For NSC: VP is a default member of the NSC but the president has power to remove the VP

Tama ka, that the NSC and Cabinet serve different functions, they are interconnected, and your attempt to separate them entirely is both simplistic and misleading.

The NSC advises the President on national security and foreign policy, while the Cabinet handles various executive affairs. However, members of the Cabinet often participate in NSC.

Technically, yes. VP is not a default member of the Cabinet but is a default member of the NSC, your oversimplification misses the broader context.

The VP shall be appointed by the President as member of the Cabinet; his appointment is not required to be approved. This means that while she may not start as a member, she can easily become one. On the other hand, being a default member of the NSC does not guarantee active participation or influence.

at kahit pa maging same entity sila bossing VP has nothing to do with the cabinet since hindi siya member by default, yung bastos bossing is yung tatanggalin mo ang VP from NSC since member siya dun by default together with the former presidents

sino ba kalaban ko dito ikaw or si ᑕᕼᗩTGᑭT, but anyways, the fact that the AI said na hindi na required i-approve ang appointment suggests na di mo inayos ang prompt mo kay AI, bigyan mo siya ng more background sa issue para di siya parang bangag sumagot

Are you suggesting that someone who has openly threatened the First Family should still have a role in national security discussions? That’s like inviting a wolf into a sheep pen and expecting it to behave.

The answer should be no, lalo na pagdating sa National Security.

haha as if kunware pinakinggan din nila ang threat sa buhay ng VP? the OVP even sent a formal request to let the council know of it, naging obvious tuloy ang agenda ng NSC which is to protect only the president

haha you keep twisting information, wag mo pag isahin ang "shall be appointed" at "may be appointed" dahil magkaibang magkaiba yan sila, yung no need confirmation is the action of the president (towards the VP) but the appointment of VP is only at the pleasure (approval) of the president (it is not his duty but only his pleasure), wag kang magkalat ng twisted information dito sa forum

Well it doesn't change the facts that she publicy threatens the first family. VP Sira Ulo can claim that she sent a formal letter to NSC, but where's the proof? AFP already stated that there are no confirmed reports of threats against her, despite her claims of being in danger.

Afterall, your comment reeks of selective outrage and a blatant disregard for context. NSC's priority is national security, which includes taking threats seriously. Claiming that they only protects the President ignores the gravity of Duterte's threats, which have escalated tensions and could destabilize governance.

The fact remains that the Vice President can be appointed to the Cabinet without confirmation, which means the President has the discretion to include them or not. And these roles are about fulfilling constitutional duties, not just "pleasure." Maybe you should focus on clarifying your own misunderstandings, you just confusing the President Authority with your own personal understanding.

haha ngayon lang ako nakarinig na mas alam pa ng ibang tao ang threats ko, hehe di ka nga talaga nagbabasa, she sent a letter last November 25, 2024 after NSC claim something about her a day before that, magbasa ka ng threads ko wag puro ᑕᕼᗩTGᑭT hehe

haha as i've said wag mo pag-isahin ang "shall be appointed" at "may be appointed" kasi magkaibang magkaiba yan sila, the constitution not just state the duties but also perks (pleasures) in which na-mention mo na nga yung isa pang perk ng president which is he can assign the VP to whatever area within the cabinet without any interruption (approval, confirmation, or any kind of interruption), another perk is immunity to suits etc., stop spreading twisted information dito sa forum

hehe sana online martial law lang bossing
haha sino kalaban mo niyan? sinabi ko na na advice to resign na nga ang nangyari hahahahahaha and it still doesn't change the fact the digong did not re-organize NSC

thanks also for confirming na nakiki-sabay ka lang sa trends and you don't care about the quality of information that comes to you

The reality is, whether he "may" but not guarantee or "shall" which required to appoint the VP to any cabinet position is entirely up to him. Remember how St. Digong was so eager to issue a directive to keep FVP Leni from cabinet meetings? Clearly, he couldn't handle constructive criticism about his governance.

i already said VP Leni was advised to resign instead of Duterte himself terminates her appointment, he instead advised the VP to resign, advice to resign is already a common practice which is more formal than terminating someone's appointment or employment, bastos ang dating nun just like sa ginawa ni bangag hindi siya nag advise kay VP Sara to resign but he instead terminated the membership right away
