Hello! It's great to hear that you are considering taking up Electrical Engineering after working in an Electrical company for 7 years. Transitioning from Computer Engineering to Electrical Engineering is definitely possible, and your experience in the field will be beneficial as you pursue your new degree.

The duration of an Electrical Engineering course can vary depending on the program and your schedule. On average, a Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering typically takes around 4 to 5 years to complete if you are studying full-time. However, since you already have a background in a related field and work experience in the industry, you may be able to complete the program in a shorter period of time through credit transfers or accelerated programs.

To get a more accurate estimate of how long it will take you to complete the Electrical Engineering course, I recommend reaching out to the academic advisors or program coordinators at the universities or colleges where you are considering applying. They can help evaluate your prior coursework and work experience to determine the credits that can be transferred and provide you with a personalized timeline for completing the degree.

As for building confidence in your new academic pursuit, it's important to remember that your experience as a supervisor in an Electrical company has equipped you with valuable knowledge and skills that will be beneficial in your studies. Don't be discouraged by not having an Electrical Engineering background initially. Embrace your unique perspective and leverage your practical experience to excel in your academic journey.

Additionally, consider networking with other engineers, both within your company and in academic settings, to learn from their experiences and build a support network. Engaging in professional development opportunities, such as attending workshops, seminars, and conferences, can also help you stay current with industry trends and build confidence in your abilities as you transition into the field of Electrical Engineering.

Overall, pursuing a degree in Electrical Engineering is a commendable decision, and with your determination and background in the industry, you are well-positioned for success in your academic and professional endeavors. Good luck on your journey!
