PHSimple no-frills guide on how to have a Netflix-like experience when you want to play your (pirated) movies directly from a torrent source(like Yify)[name withheld cough cough]. This info may be already known to some but I am just sharing for everybody to have a new and easy experience when watching torrents.
1. The Apps you need:
Amnis. The heart of the operation. Basically a torrent client that enables you to stream currently downloading content instantly (or buffer it).
Puffin TV Browser. Or any android browser available at the play store. This one is just the SmartTV friendly one so I chose this.
2. The Procedure:
Run your downloaded browser and point it to your favorite torrent site (Yify)[name withheld cough cough]. Do note that your favorite torrent site has to support magnet links. More on that later.
I usually bookmark it already for easy access the next time I want to watch something again.
Once there, click on any of your desired title.
Click on the download button and wait for the popup to appear.
Choose the quality you like and click on the Magnet icon below it. When you do this for the first time, you will be asked to select which app do you want to use to open these kinds of links (Magnet Links) so choose Amnis. You won't be prompted for it again the second time and it will automatically open Amnis for you everytime you click on one (Magnet Link).
And that's basically it. Amnis will download the torrent file sequentially for you and buffer it right away for direct playback. It is important to remember though that the files it plays are still technically downloaded on your device so manage your storage afterwards either through Amnis itself or your device's file manager.
Amnis also supports downloading subtitles or loads built-in ones so it's great for torrented anime as well (likeNyaa)[name withheld cough cough].
