Ombudsman cannot investigate VP Sara over threat vs PBBM
The Office of the Ombudsman has asserted that it cannot suspend nor investigate Vice President Sara Duterte over her kill threat to President Ferdinand "Bongbong" Marcos Jr. because it was "personal in nature" and had nothing to do with her office. The Philippine Health Insurance Corporation (PhilHealth) Board of Directors en banc has approved the inclusion of dental services in their healthcare benefit packages. Among the services included in the landmark package are mouth examination/oral screening, dental prophylaxis or cleaning, and fluoride varnish application. Militant groups gathered at Liwasang Bonifacio in Manila on Saturday, November 30, 2024, not only to commemorate the 161st birth anniversary of revolutionary hero Andres Bonifacio but also to protest against the government’s policies. According to dzBB’s Mao dela Cruz report, militant groups, such as Migrante gathered in the area on Saturday morning. Pres. Marcos signs New Law on Mindanao
President Ferdinand Marcos Jr. has signed two laws establishing fish hatcheries in the Philippines. Republic Act (RA) No. 12074 sets up a freshwater fish hatchery in Talacogon, Agusan del Sur, and RA No. 12075 establishes a multi-species marine hatchery in Zamboanga City. Both laws, signed on November 12 and announced in the Official Gazette, mandate the Department of Agriculture-Bureau of Fisheries and Aquatic Resources (DA-BFAR) to conduct feasibility studies for the projects, aligned with Department of Budget and Management (DBM) guidelines. RA No. 12074 further specifies that two years after the Talacogon hatchery's construction, its management will transfer to the local government, supported by a training program for personnel.
