Note:

These programs are complicated to use, as a user needs to have

good hardware and software knowledge. Follow the instructions

carefully.



If you have Nvidia’s modern GPU GTX 10 or RTX 20 series

You can try playing with these AlphaGo inspired programs

to get the optimum performance at the least, though it can

also use multi-GPUs. It could still work in CPU mode but

much weaker by design as long as requirements are met.

for you.



I only took some familiar GO programs from the professional strength

category for your review. The links are already there with most sources

taken from Github.com – a popular developer site. It’s up to you to go

further to look for your choices. The 2 below are both world champions.

There are other similar Go programs using neural networks on the

And Analyzing Games” with Lizzie, Sabaki, LeelaSabaki, GoreviewPartner.

Using the best weights available makes LeelaZero play better. The last link

will clear that out for you. There are available neural nets for them to play to

beat most go players for free - as the programs are also free and open source.

You need to dig the net to get the best needed AlphaGo Zero weights. That's

the secret of its strength. Without them, they are dumb! But there's an option

to train them from scratch thru selfplay or with another opponent. But it would

take a long time using limited hardware.

Installation

You need to:

• Download the latest version
• Unzip and run the installation program

To play against a game engines using GTP protocol (GNU Go, Go169, MoGo, etc.), you must download it and declare it in the game engine tab of the option dialog. All common engines are predefined and you don't have to bother with command line parameters. This is described here:

Ako rin bro, na-test ko lang yan minsan dahil sa othello/reversi at sa computer chess ako mahilig noon as official tester and compiler. Madali naman balikan kung gugustuhin. Nakakatulong yan bumilis mag-process ang utak.
Ang focus ko kasi ngayon ay yung bagong technology ng machine learning using GPU. Nagiging weak na ang cpu vs. gpu sa software development. Dapat, alam din natin ito. Pero, pang-mayaman lang yung tachnology sa ngayon dahil kailangan mo ng high grade graphics card. It also starts a new stage of knowledge.

Mamili na lang kayo sa Windows bundled options with GRP+ go engine of your choice for analysis or use the sources to run it using Python 2.7.x + TkInter. Di ko pa na-test using this option dahil Python 3.x yung gamit ko, but the Windows bundles worked fine using the individual cpu-builds. If you're opting to use GPU-builds, be sure alam ninyo yung minimum hardware requirements and drivers ng CUDA at OpenCL releases. Example: for OpenCL, you need a GPU that supports minimum of OpenCL 1.1 to run it. Check the engine sites linked there or google for other information. This you have to verify/test for yourselves which option works (CPU vs GPU and gives the best performance. Most people have a hard time understanding the difference unless they test and benchmark it themselves properly. Parehas din yan sa computer chess engines. Engines using neural networks and machine learning works best using high-end GPU compared to high-end CP, especially using CUDA builds which is twce as fast with OpenCL builds.

The only advantage of Neural engines is the use of neural (network) weights ( or accumulated knowledge) vs engines built to rely on generic algorithms and more hardware processing to think of the right moves.
