PHHi, I received a picture and there was an embedded watermark like this, at the bottom left of the picture;

I researched the OPPO ColorOS 6.1/7.1 OS - this version does allow the sender the configure the phone to send an image with a watermark as shown above.
BUT I happen to know that the picture sent was not taken at the time and date shown, I am 95% sure of this.
So my question is can an older photo with an existing watermark be edited and time date changed? Or can a current time date be added to an older image without a watermark?
