Can anyone confirm that stock globe firmware has the online upgrade option in the account? You can easily flash a new firmware using that. If all goes well, I'll post a link you can use to replace the url in the textbox.

If you're still on stock globe firmware, can you try to check on the user account if (Maintenance > Online Upgrade) is accessible? Check if you can click the check now button. If the URL textbox is greyed out, it's fine.

There is no online update in the maintenance tab with globe firmware.

that method only works if the online update greyed out under the maintenance tab by using XAMPP ..if im not mistaken that method was introduce in capa9.net?

I wonder if the API is still accessible otherwise. I'm not on the globe firmware anymore so I can't check.

It's why I'm asking if the stock globe firmware has the option. I'm not sure if that was introduced in that site since I was digging for CVEs and saw one that exploits online upgrade. Their exploit wasn't published so I just worked on it from the details provided.

Also you don't have to use a local server. It's pretty trivial to host it on something like heroku so anyone can use it. You don't need XAMPP or anything. I don't even use Windows.

EDIT: Also to add, typically they just remove the GUI elements for things like Online Upgrade. On stock huawei fw it's accessible by the "user" account so I'm betting you can still use the online upgrade option if you run the http requests yourself. I'm not 100% on this so don't count on this.

Which is what another user mentioned. I already mentioned that the API for online upgrade might still be exposed and accessible. I don't plan on "unhiding" it. I'm just interested in dealing with the API. I might request some users to test something out as I don't have the globe firmware on any device and I'm too cheap to get another B2368.
