It also changes your signal value, some bands have good readings while others don't (depending on area), but that doesn't necessarily mean that a band with higher signal value is faster (based on observation). In my area, b41 gives the best signal reading, but in terms of speed, b40 beats it despite having lower signal readings (smart telecom).
