“Doc what is your opinion about the virus dies in warm temperatures but are alive in cold places?”
My answer:
That’s hard to answer because scientists are still studying the virus and new details are coming out from time to time.
But here’s what I know. The virus is still considered droplet spray transmission. I don’t agree that it is airborn because its a relative of the other Corona viruses which were all droplets.
When we say droplets it only means that the virus uses our saliva as the vehicle. If you sneeze then your saliva travels as far as 26 feet.
I can not say that the virus dies in warm temperature but based on my common sense my floating saliva droplets dries up faster in the middle of the sun!
If the vehicle which is the saliva dries up faster then the transmission power is lesser. Without the vehicle it can not go farther!
But of course nothing beats a don’t cough, don’t sneeze policy! So if your sick please don’t go out.
Saying this, air conditioned places are of course colder. The more you should not cough and sneeze there.
So I do believe Social Distancing, Discipline of the hands by not touching the face, handwashing, no sneeze, no cough policy and great warm summer will work!
