Cebu City has recorded 203 new cases of Covid-19, 50 new laboratory-negative, and two deaths on June 16, 2020.

In a Facebook post of the Cebu City Health Department (CCHD) the new cases are from Barangays Apas (2); Basak Pardo (5); Basak San Nicolas (13); Luz (8); Bulacao (5); Busay (1); Calamba (1); Camputhaw (21); Capitol (3); Carreta (2); Cogon Ramos (2); Day-as (1); Duljo (4); Ermita (1); Guadalupe (4); Inayawan (2); Kalunasan (5); Labangon (9); Lahug (4); Lorega (8); Mabolo (9); Mambaling (3); Pahina Central (9); Pardo (5); Pulang Bato (5); Punta (2); Sambag 1 (7); Sambag 2 (4); San Roque (12); Sapangdaku (5); Sawang (7); Suba (2); T.Padilla (5); Talamban (3); Tejero (4); Tinago (14); Tisa (3) and Zapatera (3).

While the new laboratory-negatives are from Mambaling (7); Carreta (2); Pardo (6); Basak Pardo (9); Sawang (2); Labangon (1); Pahina Central (1); Tejero (2); Lorega (1); Mabolo (4); Basak San Nicolas (1); Duljo (2); Sambag 1 (1); Lahug (3); Apas (1) BJMP (2); Luz (3); Camputhaw (1) and Day-as (1).

The two deaths are from Calamba and Camputhaw.

CCHD has extracted two patients from the total number as the two cases were not from Cebu City.

The city has a total of 3,814, with 1,924 recoveries and 41 deaths.

Cebu City now has a total of 4,015 confirmed Covid-19 positive patients, 1,980 of them are active cases.

The city also has 1,988 laboratory-negative with 48 total mortalities.

Ang initial target nila for it to be approved and mass produced to the world is around 18 months - the quickest in history if achieved. The chances are low daw, pero with enough funding ay kaya itong ma-shortcut. See the standard vaccine development phases below.

Most are funded by CEPI ( Bill Gates-backed Coalition for Epidemic Preparedness and Innovation ) to accelerate the process. Yan yung pag-asa!
Moderna, Oxford and Cansino are the early potential candidates which already reached phase 2/3 and the rest are still catching up. Mahahalata ninyo naman siguro yung mga bansang malalaki yung confirmed cases at daily infections pero mataas yung recovery rates - ginagamit na nila yung mga yan as clinical trials (CT) sa permiso ng gobyerno nila. We'll just have to wait for our turn when supply comes for our own CT. Mahuhuli na lang yung vaccine approval for public consumption and the long awaited herd immunity!

THREE HUNDRED FIFTY-THREE new confirmed cases of the new Coronavirus was recorded today in Cebu City, June 30, 2020.

The Cebu CIty Health Department also recorded 10 new recoveries today.

So far the city now has 5,494 Covid-19 cases; 2,723 recoveries; and 169 deaths.

MALLS and other commercial centers are now allowed to operate as Cebu City has started to ease a bit its restrictions under the modified enhanced community quarantine (MECQ) status.

The operations of malls and other shopping centers are limited to non-leisure aspects of their businesses.
