Yes. pero syempre hindi mo gagawin yan basta diba? backup ka muna or shrink mo muna yung partition na pag i-install-an mo. for example 500gb pa yung isa mong partition, e di shrink mo muna yun for something like half para ma preserve mo yung files.

Bakit ka ba magdudual boot? for network simulations? penetration? if it is for network simulation, kali on virtualbbox or vmware will be fine no need to reboot. your 2 OSs can run simultaneously. on penetration, Im not sure if your wifi card is will be available in a virtual environment. I dont know if you can utilize your wifi radio's monitoring mode.

Normaly, maoopen mo ang kahit anong files from windows to linux. whatever it is. at gaya nga ng sabi ko, kung di ka naman magprapraktis ng wireless network penetration, better to install kali as virtual os. atlis, naka open si windows mo, maoopen mo sabay si kali from there. and you can switch back and fort easily just like switching normal windows forms or browser tabs. hindi ko gets yang concern mo about files brother.

Need mo muna magpartition bago mag install ng kahit anong os.. basta tamang partition ung pag iinstallan mo wlang masamng mangyayare.

Generally speaking, 20GB (minus the home partition) is enough for most Linux distros.
