In Coney Island’s “freak show” in 1905. There were Eskimos, Somalis, and Irish farmers, too. But the Filipinos were by far the most popular, perhaps because of their perceived exoticism. The tribe's people’s bodies were covered in tattoos; they ate dog; and at home in the Philippines, they hunted the heads of their enemies.
