XenForo template modifications no worky

I'm trying to create a simple template modification in XenForo 1.2.4 like so:



This is a totally clean install of XF 1.2.4. I had to set $config['debug'] to true in library/config.php. The text appears nowhere on the page. Am I missing something? 
Nevermind. I am stupid.
