New record: Largest gathering of organ transplant donors. Congratulations to all 410 organ donors who gathered earlier this year at the eyecatching and iconic popular Chicago city artwork Cloud Gate. Members of Transplant Village (USA) celebrated Donate Life Month, coming together to raise awareness about the importance of living donation and to inspire others to become living donors. Donors at the record attempt had come from all over the United States, with some visiting from India and Canada. Local news network CBS described the event as "the largest gathering of life savers ever assembled."

The group decided to meet at Cloud Gate in Chicago "It is a perfect spot especially for living kidney donors to meet, because it looks like a giant kidney." said organiser Laurie Lee.
