Nonong de Andres, better known by his screen name "Bangkay" in Filipino horror movies, has died.
De Andres died in an apparent suicide at a beach resort in Plaridel, Quezon.
His remains were found by a caretaker early Tuesday morning.
De Andres appeared in movies including Balandra Crossing (1987), Goat Buster (1985) and Estibador (1980).
A nephew, Powee Capino, asked for prayers in his Facebook page.
"He was weak due to sickness na rin for the past few weeks and months," Capino said of De Andres. —Peewee Bacuño and Jamil Santos/NB, GMA News
