Portable Operating System is really a hassle free when it comes to mobility so in this post I will teach you on how to make a ubuntu bootable flashdrive
first you need to download the Ubuntu ISO and the Universal USB Installer

Ubuntu 12.10 and Ubuntu 12.04 LTS

once finished downloading open the Universal USB Installer then click the I agree

and then Step 1 choose the Ubuntu version that you have downloaded on the dropdown menu, Step 2 browse the file that you have downloaded awhile ago Step 3 Now choose the Drive that your flash drive is , also check the “We will format x:\ drive as Fat32″ and click CREATE

just wait for a couple of minutes and after that you will now see a bootable flash drive an you can now use this to install on a ubuntu software on your laptop or desktop.
