However, this feature is reportedly only available for Android tablets, not the smartphones. If you have already installed the latest Marshmallow on your Nexus 5 or Nexus 6 and have also rooted your device, there is no reason why you can’t enjoy this super useful feature on your smartphone too.

make sure rooted :
1. download any root explorer file manager
2. locate build.prop on system folder
3. locate ro.build.type =
4. change user to userdebug
5. reboot
6. to enable multiwindow feature go to developer option and select multiwindow-mode
