The name of all the continents end with the same letter that they start with...



It is really impressive, however, we still do not know the reason.


A possible explanation is that most words are of Latin derivation and according to the rules of Latin, most female nouns end in -a, whereas, most male nouns end in -er or -us

Ang super continent na Pangaea ang exemption?
Ang pangaea po it only existed during paleozoic and mesozoic era ...about 300 million years ago wala pang seven continents ang pangaea ang known supercontinent but then it break and drifted..Now yung 7, continents na ang na form ..yang pangaea o so called universal massive land dati pa yun before 7 continents.^_^

Yep. Not to mention Gondwana and Laurasia. But still they are continents. In the ancient time ngalang. So I guess this topic only applies to the modern continents.
