I think the question is what would you light first with the match!!!!

The constraint is that it is a dark room...

For lighting the candle, you would first have to look for it with the match...
Most possibly, the match would die out before you can locate and light the candle........

For lighting a gas lamp, you have to lift the glass cover and then light...
Again, the match would die out before the lamp is located and the process is completed.

The wood stove is a large fireplace where the logs are usually stacked out and ready for lighting up....
You just need to light a match and throw it in the stack of wood..

so I think I would light up the gas stove first with the match!!!!
