You put your hand in mine and we walk together through the fog. Idont know where we are, and I cant see your face. All I know is an odd feeling of peace, like I'm floating between eternity and nothingness.
The path is long, but it's straight. As we stroll together, you and I, the scenery changes. I see fields of bright yellow flowers, ancient forests, and the endless oblivion of space. I see the old playground before they tore it down to build a ******inium. I see the sad table I used to eat alone at and the huge tree in the shcool yard back when its branches stretched across the sky. I see my parents, smiling, and my little brother with his tiny eyes staring up at me.
And then I see you.
Funny", I mutter under my breath as the scenes fade behind my eyes. "It feels like it was so long ago...but how long has it been, I grip your hand tighter. You dont answer for the longest time, so I add meekly at the end: "I miss you."
I still can't see your face, but I can practically feel you squeezing your eyes shut in thought. I've watched you do it countless times before, whenever you're faced with dilemma or a difficult question. "it's too soon," you say finally. "It isn't time."
My heart clenches, and I look around us, at the ever-changing flow of space and time.
"I'm ready, " I say, but even I dont feel it. I take a deep breath and count to ten. Your hand is slipping from mine, even if I haven't let go.
Your voice is whispering echoing around me: "I MISS YOU TOO."
I clutch your words to my heart as the dream fades away.
