well someone is spreading inconclusive observations.
di naman natin masasabing may causation and correlation sa pagkawala ng data kapag ginagamit mo si 'Triangle'. Talaga bang si triangle ang dapat sisihin?
- Paano ang advertisements (app and in-game ads) in any media format e.g. gifs, HQ image or even 10sec.-1min. video.
- Internet metrics from Speedtest, Testmy at Fast or even ping test kumakain din ng data yan OBVIOUSLY.
- Inescapable auto-update ng apps e.g. security *****es or important updates, you can't opt. out from that. Usually ang mga culprit dyan ay default apps ng google or apple. But you need to understand on why they're doing that, I dont have to explain that topic deeper.
- Telemetry o kaya mga data sets na kinukuha ng Google and Apple or apps na naka-install sa phone mo for example 'Crash reports', 'Usage statistics' and things like that to further improve their service. Another interesting thing na pwede kong ipasok sa topic na to is ung 'Targeted Advertising', from the word itself sana na gets mo na what it does is lahat ng search queries mo from websites na binibisita mo, ads na kini-click mo or even videos you watched for example sa ÿôutubê, nagkaka-roon yan ng cross-referencing para maihatid sayo ung mga ADS na magiging interesado kang i-click, in the sense its creepy but there's a lot of ways to mitigate that.
- Sneaky adwares that automagically (yep that's a word in tech world) downloads and installs useless, PUP (Potentially Unwanted and/or Unsafe Programs), even malicious programs, of course mangangailangan din yan ng data in order to install itself there sa phone mo.
- Naka-turn on ang autoplay ng videos and gifs ng apps mo e.g 9gag, facebook etc.
You get the idea, it's not fair na sisisihin natin si 'triangle' sa pagkawala ng data natin. I've been using it too pero in-uninstall ko na kasi useless sya sa akin, it takes up space and god knows what kung anong data nanaman ang kinukuha nyan sa phone ko considering na galing sya sa Google. Heck, kahit Flashlight app ko nga may suspicious app permissions eh.
And one more thing, if someone disagrees with your opinion or observation (in this case) try your best to have a good exchange of opinion. Both of you might learn from it. Avoid provocation...yada yada yada...forum etiquette. It's not like everything is binary, there will be always three or more reasons, choices and paths to make a conversation.
I hope may natutunan kayo, I know its quite plenty shi-ne-share ko lang knowledge ko sa topic kasi it seems that some of you are misinformed. At sa mga nakaka-alam or well aware sa topic you can free to clarify me or add something more info from this.
TL;DR - you just can't blame the 'Triangle' app, marami tayong factors na maaring ngang maging dahilan ng pagkaubos ng data allocation. But feel free to have an observation for yourself kung tama nga si TS.
