🔒 Closed Can tv antennas interfere with your wifi?

DISCLAIMER: These are just my OBSERVATIONS.

Okay so nag-research keme lang ako. Gan'to kasi.
Minsan kasi kahit peak hours, bumababa ng halos 80% yung internet connection.
Nagtaka ako kung bakit, kasi biglaan nalang lagi nangyayari. Nakakainis.
Ta's after mga ilang weeks, na-notice ko na nangyayari siya kapag binubuksan ng mga magulang ko yung TV(naka-antenna lang kami wala kaming cable hahahha).
Ta's nagsearch ako ng mga kemerut kay Google. Ayun, may mga reference pala na pwede itong maka-interfere sa wifi connection mo XD Medyo malapit kasi yung hotspot ko sa tv kaya ayun.

So my conclusion is YES, it will not kill your wifi signal/connection but it will interfere with it since i think it that it has the same frequencies with mobile hotspots/pocket wifi. Mapapansin mo kasi talaga yung pagbagal lalo na kung 3G-capable lang hotspot mo ;-;

PS: I think the article is talking about modems/routers, which is different from mobile hotspots/pocket wifi.
PPS: I am talking about TETHERING the internet connection, not the internet connection itself.

oo nga no. besides radio waves ang ginagamit ng tv at ng pocket wifi pati na rin yung mga communication devices kaya pala naaapektuhan

hindi po nakaka affect si house antenna kay wifi. yung pag interfere ng signal ay nasa fresnal zone po yan kung saan magaganap ang pag gain loss ng kada signal. pero pag below 40 feet ay hindi po yan nakaka jam ng signal sa wifi
