Eden NX2 is a project related to Nintendo Switch emulation on Android devices, developed with the goal of allowing users to run games originally released for Nintendo's hybrid console on smartphones, tablets, and other compatible devices. Its aim is to offer a modern emulation experience, leveraging the processing power and graphics capabilities of current devices to play games on a platform different from the original hardware. Through emulation technologies, the application seeks to replicate the operation of the Nintendo Switch system, allowing compatible titles to be played without needing to own the physical console to perform the emulation itself.

Eden NX2 is an experimental Nintendo Switch 2 emulation project, developed from the Eden emulator code, with the goal of expanding the program's compatibility to run games from Nintendo's new generation of consoles. Unlike the conventional version of Eden, which was created to emulate the original Nintendo Switch, Eden NX2 seeks to implement experimental support for the architecture, graphics, and systems used by the Nintendo Switch 2. The project uses emulation technologies to reproduce the console's operation on computers and, through an independent adaptation, also on compatible Android devices. One of its main features is the attempt to run games developed specifically for the Switch 2, expanding the possibilities of use compared to traditional first-generation emulators. Among the titles used in the initial tests is Donkey Kong Bananza, which demonstrated the possibility of initializing and executing certain elements of a new-generation game. The experimental Android version also received an adaptation that allows loading extracted game files, using its own structure to identify the components necessary for execution. However, it's important to highlight that the project is still in its early stages of development and has considerable limitations in terms of compatibility, stability, and performance. Hardware requirements are high, especially for smartphones, with devices featuring modern Snapdragon processors, Adreno GPUs, and approximately 16 GB of RAM recommended for attempting to run Switch 2 games. During use, crashes, slow loading times, graphical glitches, FPS drops, and unexpected shutdowns may occur. Another important aspect is that the Android project is an independent experimental adaptation, not an official version maintained by the main Eden team. Furthermore, the application does not include games, system files, or encryption keys; it is necessary to use legally obtained proprietary files from the corresponding hardware. Its proposal represents an interesting advancement in the development of emulation technologies, especially due to the possibility of exploring games from a more recent generation directly on mobile devices. With future updates, fixes, and optimizations, the project could expand its compatibility and improve the user experience. In summary, Eden NX2 is an experimental initiative that seeks to take Nintendo Switch 2 emulation beyond traditional computers, also exploring the possibility of running next-generation games on high-performance Android smartphones.
