Physical attraction isn't entirely visual.
Voice pitch, rhythm, speech patterns, and other vocal characteristics can influence how people perceive attractiveness, personality, age, and emotion.
Voices also contain information that photographs obviously can't provide.
This helps explain why attraction based on someone's photos can change after the first phone call or face-to-face conversation.
A dating profile shows what someone looks like; their voice introduces another entire layer of them.
